Is your bow hair floppy? Too tight? Maybe there is no hair left at all? Or Halifax weather changing far too much? It’s time to bring your bow in to get rehaired (starting at $70)! We primarily use premium Mongolian white horse hair to get the best results with your bow. We also do repairs such as:

• Eyelet replacement

• Tip replacement

• Slide replacement

• New winding (sterling silver winding available)

• New leather grip (many different leathers to choose from!)

We are able to provide appraisals for insurance purposes. Appraisals include:

• Detailed inspection of each instrument

  • Particular attention to past repairs and unique characteristics

  • Noting any damage/repairs needed (these can be completed before the formal appraisal is completed)

• Thorough research done on the instrument and maker

• Current value of instrument

• A detailed appraisal document (.pdf and printed)

These are long term projects that require extensive repairs. If you have an instrument that needs a large job done, please contact us to discuss a repair plan. These larger jobs may include:

• Neck grafts

• Corner replacement

• Button grafts

• Peg bushings

• Extensive retouch

• Edge doubling
